Bolts N' Bytes
1. Agreement to Terms
By signing this document, you ("Customer") agree to the following terms regarding the repair or service of your electronic device by Bolts N' Bytes ("Company").
2. Diagnostic & Repair Authorization
The Customer authorizes the Company to inspect, diagnose, and repair the submitted device.
A non-refundable diagnostic fee may be charged if the Customer declines repairs after diagnosis.
The Customer understands that repair estimates are subject to change if additional issues are discovered during service.
3. Use of OEM & Third-Party Parts
Repairs may be performed using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts, high-quality aftermarket parts, or refurbished components, depending on availability.
The Customer acknowledges that using third-party or refurbished parts may void the device's original manufacturer warranty.
The Customer will be informed about the type of replacement parts used before service is performed.
4. Screen Replacement & Other Repairs
Screen replacements involve removing the damaged screen and installing a new compatible display.
Devices are tested for touch responsiveness, display clarity, and overall functionality before return.
The Customer understands that, in some cases, screen replacement may impact device water resistance or expose underlying issues not previously visible.
If additional issues arise during or after screen replacement, the Customer will be notified of repair options.
5. Data Loss & Privacy Disclaimer
The Customer is responsible for backing up all personal data before repair. The Company is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or software issues resulting from the repair process.
Some repairs may require a factory reset, which will erase all stored data. The Company is not responsible for recovering lost data.
The Company does not access, share, or store personal data from devices, but the Customer acknowledges that repair technicians may see stored content during testing.
6. Limited Warranty on Repairs
Repairs are covered by a 90 day limited warranty on parts and labor for the same issue originally repaired.
The warranty does not cover:
Accidental or physical damage after repair.
Liquid damage, including pre-existing or future exposure.
Software-related issues or third-party modifications.
Issues unrelated to the original repair.
Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period, and the device must be inspected by the Company before further service.
7. Liability & Limitations
The Customer acknowledges that some devices may have pre-existing damage that could worsen during repair, including but not limited to motherboard failures, battery swelling, or broken internal components.
The Company is not liable for any additional damage that occurs as a result of attempting a repair on a device with pre-existing issues.
If a device is deemed unrepairable, the Customer will be notified of available options, but no guarantees are made for full restoration.
The Company’s maximum liability is limited to the cost of the repair service performed.
8. Abandoned Equipment Policy
The Customer must retrieve their device within 30 days after being notified of repair completion.
Devices left unclaimed for 30 days may be subject to a $2.50 per day storage charge.
If a device remains unclaimed for 90 days, it will be considered abandoned, and the Company reserves the right to recycle, resell, or dispose of the device.
The Company is not responsible for any data loss, damages, or liabilities resulting from abandoned equipment.
9. Payment & Refund Policy
Full payment is due upon completion of service before the device is returned.
If Customer refuses to pay after the agreed upon repairs are complete, the Company reserves the right to enforce "chattel lien" on the item for the cost of the labor and materials. If the Customer does not pay, the Company can take action to enforce the lien, which may involve selling the property at auction.
No refunds will be issued for completed repairs, diagnostic fees, or special-order parts.
If an issue persists after repair, the Customer must return within the warranty period for a re-evaluation.
10. Customer Acknowledgment & Agreement
